I participated in my first Aerobics/Spinning class this morning at 6AM. I'm so grateful to my friend who is willing to come exercise with me. I was supposed to go to Curves with her yesterday morning and I backed out because I only got 4 hours of sleep that night and I couldn't face the morning yet. I called her after 9PM last night and asked if she wanted to go to the rec center with me today and she agreed! What a pal!
Anyway, this class really put Curves to shame! I got such a great workout. I was breathing heavy, sweating, hurting, all that good stuff. My arms have already started to ache from using measly 3 pound weights. I say measly, but they kicked my butt! I looked around and most of the other women there were using 7 pound weights or even more. I could not even fathom that this morning. I'm sure someday, as long as I keep this up, I'll get up there. Someday... LOL!
The spinning portion was something new all together. I didn't realize we were going to be standing on the bike a lot of the time. It's glorified jogging! Not such a fan of jogging. Anywho, it was fun during the sprints, but the "jumps" were hard. Again, maybe someday it will get easier and I'll be able to participate fully. Today, however, I'm grateful for the nice ladies that encouraged my friend and me. They were so nice and kept telling us we would get it and not to give up.
I feel really good :) Where is the motrin?

Heathly
I'm getting healthy. For the past 3 weeks or so, I've been exercising with a new friend of mine. At first we started out walking with the kids about 9am, but winter hit. It really stinks being out in the cold with little ones. Heck, it stinks being out in the cold anytime! So, now we go to the gym together 3 times a week at 6am. It's a lot earlier, but much easier without the kids.
I also got a great break! I am now babysitting once a week at the local recreation center and can attend the aerobics classes for free or have a half price membership. That's only $105 for the entire year. That certainly puts Curves to shame. LOL!
So, I'm feeling good, and I've been told by some that they can see a difference. I've been afraid to get on the scale as I tend to gain muscle first, which means I gain weight as well. I'd rather avoid seeing that and just focusing on feeling good.
